JOB SUMMARY: To ensure that all school processes are conducted in a highly professional manner and on a timely basis. To perform related clerical duties in order to help advance the mission and vision of Lighthouse Christian School.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Born-again Christian and credible Christian role model whose godly lifestyle and character demonstrate obedience to God and the Holy Scriptures. Active member of an evangelical Trinitarian church.
  • Accepts and supports the school's statement of faith and indicates a continuing sense of God's direction in working at Lighthouse Christian School.
  • The ability to work efficiently with a service-oriented attitude under stressful situations with constant interruption.
  • Maintain excellent personal relations with staff and the public at large.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Possess keen sense of judgment & discretion, have attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Computer experience on various software systems including MS Office, etc.; expert in office automation.
  • At least one year of clerical and/or office assistant experience preferred

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Administrative Assistance
  • Provides support for LCS events in Development, Admissions, and Marketing
  • Participates and assists with coordination of department/staff meetings
  • Filtering, drafting, editing, and responding to emails and phone calls on behalf of the Advancement office
  • Managing the Advancement department calendar, scheduling appointments, prioritizing sensitive matters, and reminders
  • Employing a high level of confidentiality concerning student/family records and financial giving
  • Performs duties as assigned by the Director of Advancement
  • Anticipate needs and take initiative
  • Assist in maintaining appropriate databases within the Advancement departmental systems


WORK REQUIREMENTS
  • Full-time position during school year,
  • Hourly wage, as outlined in the annual at-will employment agreement.
  • Participate in school-wide/team meetings, devotions, professional learning community and Inservice as required
