JOB SUMMARY:
As a Field Technician, you will play a vital role in keeping America going and food on our tables by keeping Ag equipment running and out in the field tilling, planting, applying, and harvesting! The Field Technician will troubleshoot, repair, overhaul, change components, and perform maintenance on a wide range of agriculture equipment, including tractors, combines, harvesters, tillage equipment, application/sprayer equipment, general heavy equipment, and various attachments. The Field Technician will work out of a company-provided service vehicle, often in the natural elements. As a Field Technician, you will play a part in keeping your community running!
REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
College and/or continued education in a technician field are a plus.
Valid Commercial Driver's License with an acceptable driving record in accordance with CAT standards.
In-depth knowledge of agriculture equipment components and systems
Three years of experience in the agricultural equipment repair/rebuild field required, preferably with Fendt, Massey Ferguson, Gleaner, AgChem, Challenger, and Lexion Combines or competitive agricultural equipment .
Must have the ability to follow technical material and apply processes and procedures as necessary to complete repairs and manufacturers' updates, as required
Should have the ability to read and understand schematics, service manuals, and repair diagrams.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Lifting/Carrying 40 lb. Lift/Carry and 50lb pulling
Standing/Sitting Up and down stairs, standing, sitting, and climbing into machines
Dexterity Normal
Repetitive Motions Frequent movement requiring hands, wrists, and fingers.
The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet in office settings and moderate to loud in other situations, with both constant and sudden loud noises possible.
