Fundamental Administrative Services, LLC seeks a Senior Counsel to provide advice and services to Company and its client skilled nursing facilities located in multiple states.

(Open to remote, home based - must live within driving distance to Sparks office)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Actas legal advisor to Company, its Senior Leadership and its client facilitiesrelated to their business in the post-acute care industry
  • Manageand oversee contracting for Company and provide contracting support to itsclient facilities
  • Provideday-to-day legal support to client facility and Company leadership on a varietyof regulatory and compliance issues including but not limited to:

o Respondingto government/regulatory inquiries to provide information in a timely andaccurate manner

o Respondingand providing guidance to client facilities on emergency issues

o Assistingfacility leadership complete investigations into incidents that could result inlitigation

o Respondingand providing guidance to client facilities on a variety of issues arisingdaily out of their business, including but not limited to, resident rights,discharges, and admissions
  • Workwith Chief Compliance Officer to identify and resolve potential compliancerisks and issues
  • Superviseoutside legal counsel on a variety of matters
  • Reviewand provide guidance to Company and client facilities on social media andmarketing initiatives
  • Reviewand revise policies and procedures

Requirements:
  • J.D.from an accredited institution
  • ActiveBar license in the state of Maryland
  • 3-5years of experience as a practicing attorney; while not required, we areextremely interested in candidates with in-house experience at a healthcarecompany or at a law firm practicing healthcare law
  • Contractingexperience required; preferably in the healthcare industry. Must be able todraft, review, analyze and revise relevant agreements that range from vendorcontracts to IT service agreements
  • Provenleadership and interpersonal skills, with a strong team orientation
  • Strongverbal and written communication skills
  • Abilityto work independently with minimal support services
  • Workingknowledge and understanding of the application and interpretation of Federaland state regulations laws governing the delivery of care in a post-acute caresetting such as Medicare, Medicaid, HIPAA, Anti-Kickback laws, and False ClaimsAct
  • Professionaldemeanor and presence and ability to communicate and work effectively with teammembers and senior leadership across all Company departments
