Laboratory Technician

We are currently seeking a candidate with a background in chemistry and knowledge in Chromatography for a client in Tallmadge, Ohio!

Shifts Available:

• 2nd Shift, Monday - Friday, 3:30PM - 11:30PM
• 3rd Shift, Sunday - Thursday, 11:30PM - 7:30AM

Pay:

• $19.50 - 20 / hour

Key Responsibilities:

• Meet quality criteria according to the standard operating procedures
• Working with chromatography
• Perform the expected number of tests per shift at any one of the test stations
• Enter test results into data entry program
• Follow Chemical Hygiene Plan regulations
• Perform entry-level lab services work -- supervised and in accordance with well-defined standard / procedures
• Record / compile data

Minimum Requirements:

• High School Diploma / GED; chemistry coursework preferred
• 1-2 years of experience / familiarity with lab procedures preferred
• Knowledge of general lab safety practices preferred
• Ability to learn or prior knowledge preferred in: Liquid Screen, Karl Fischer, Power Factor / FTIR tests
• Ability to work independently / with a team to meet deadlines
• Strong communication skills
• Reliable / punctual
• Must display / possess a high level of integrity
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office / data entry / instrument-related operating software
• Can frequently stand / walk / bend / kneel / stoop / crouch
• Ability to perform work at workstation for extended periods
• Ability to lift materials / objects weighing up to 25 pounds
• Ability to work mandatory overtime as required to address peak workload
