This position will be responsible for contributing to a wide variety of environmental graphics, wayfinding and signage design. The ability to interpret message strategies, brainstorm ideas, and collaborate with internal clients, design and communications team is essential. A candidate should be comfortable being a part of a team from concept through execution.
Requirements:
- At least two years of professional design experience required.
- Bachelors degree in graphic design or related field such as architecture, industrial design or landscape architecture.
Essential Skills and Knowledge:
- Strong portfolio required - polished portfolio should demonstrate experience with a variety of media and expert knowledge of design: layout, color theory, typography, etc.
- Ability to translate existing brand identities to various types of project collateral (i.e. exhibits, presentations, built media).
- Skilled at taking existing content and messaging and translating that into compelling graphic communications media.
- Ability to coordinate with vendors such as printers, sign fabricators, and material representatives and familiarity with preparing production artwork.
- Flexible, adaptable and able to work under pressure with unfailing attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills (verbal + written).
- Personality full of passion, integrity, and energy.
Software/Abilities:
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator - portfolio should demonstrate these skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: PowerPoint, Word, Teams and Outlook.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD.
- Familiarity with Google Maps.
- Fluency in a PC environment.
Highly Desired Skills:
- Signage/Wayfinding/Environmental Graphics knowledge.
- Strong understanding of scale in the built environment.
- Ability to read and understand architectural and landscape plans and drawings.
- 3D Modeling Experience: Sketch-Up, Rhino, Lumion.
