DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Closely with Infrastructure Group
  • directly with Service Providers, Vendors, and Maintenance Contractors
  • usage/Control/Inventory of Tools and equipment
  • Skilled Work in the Diagnosis, Repair, Construction, and Maintenance of various HVAC/R Systems - Performing emergency HVAC/R repairs promptly and efficiently
  • building(s) heating and cooling systems, and recommends modifications to achieve optimal operation and energy efficiency (Blueprint and Schematic reading) Inspects systems and their components for the purpose of ensuring safety, identifying necessary repairs, and providing an ongoing program of preventive maintenance
  • required documentation for records and reports in a timely and complete fashion
  • Maintenance and Operational tests on HVAC and Refrigeration system devices, using equipment such as Refrigerant recovery systems and Refrigerant pressure gauges
  • system(s) troubleshooting and repair of HVAC and Refrigeration control circuits and equipment properly using a variety of electronics and electrical test equipment, system and device drawings and air monitor output and reports
  • preventive/predictive maintenance and repair of Heating, Refrigeration, Air Conditioning, and Air Handling equipment - Procures equipment and supplies to ensure availability of required items to complete the necessary installation/repair
  • to emergency situations during or after hours
  • general day to day facility maintenance/equipment inspections/tasks incidental to operating HVAC equipment and systems when necessary (plumbing, painting, carpentry, lighting) Assist skilled and non-skilled Infra Group staff as needed
  • Work Order System Management
  • at ALL required meetings


MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

-Minimum 7-10 Years of Commercial and Industrial HVAC/R experience

-Universal EPA Certification / Refrigerant Recovery -Recycling

-HVAC/R Licensed/Certified in Michigan

-Working knowledge and experience with manufacturing, engineering and office facility operations

-Experience and training in OSHA General Industry regulations and practices as well as working knowledge of Building Codes

-Experience and/or training in reading blueprint drawings and Schematic specifications

-Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

-Adept at conducting research into HVAC/R related issues and products.

-Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment

-Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of Management/Staff


PREFERRED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

-Journeyman Certification HVAC/R (Trade School preference)

-Building Automation Systems

-Building Utility & Piping Systems


CERTIFICATIONS

-Appropriate position based Certification(s)

-HVAC/R

-EPA Universal (Recovery/Recycling)
