We are looking for an experienced and reliable Steel Fabricator/Mechanic to join our team!

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Steel Fabricator/Mechanic to join our team. As a Fabricator, you will be responsible for assembling and constructing metal products by cutting, bending, and welding materials according to specifications. You should be highly skilled in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints, as well as experienced in handling a variety of metal fabrication tools, equipment, and machinery.

Pay Rate & Benefits

  • Up to $31 Per Hour (Based on Experience)


Working Hours:

  • 6:00am till 4:00pm
  • 4-10s

Responsibilities:

  • Review technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to determine the requirements for metal fabrication projects.
  • Cut, bend, and shape metal components using a range of fabrication equipment such as saws, lathes, drill presses, and grinders.
  • Weld or join metal components together using various techniques and methods including MIG, TIG, and ARC welding.
  • Assemble and construct metal products, ensuring that the final product is accurate, functional, and meets the required specifications.
  • Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet safety and quality standards.
  • Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Regularly maintain and clean all metal fabrication tools, equipment, and machinery used in the workshop.
  • Collaborate with team members, including designers, engineers, and project managers to ensure project deadlines and objectives are met.
  • Continuously develop knowledge of industry trends and advancements in metal fabrication techniques.
  • Make sure all pieces are fitted properly and complete repairs as necessary.
  • Follow all industry and governmental regulations on safety protocols.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Fabricator or a similar role in an industrial construction environment.
  • Strong technical knowledge of metal fabrication techniques, tools, and machinery.
  • Excellent ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Able to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects, and work in a variety of physical positions.
  • Expertise in welding techniques and procedures including MIG, TIG, and SMAW.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot any issues that may arise during the fabrication process.
  • Excellent communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Willingness to continuously learn and adapt to new technologies and trends in the industry.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; a certification in metal fabrication or a related field is a plus.
  • Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (face-shield, gloves, etc.)
  • Ability to read labels, safety warnings, and guidelines
  • Always attentive to detail and alert to ensure safety
  • Ability to receive and follow instructions and communicate with co-workers
