Merchology is seeking a Maintenance Specialist to join our Operations team. Reporting to the VP of Operations, the Maintenance Specialist assures that physical plant and equipment are in good repair and proper working order to support the execution of business processes In addition, this role will track all maintenance activity in the Thrive CMMS to capture internal labor, outside vendor, and materials cost, frequency of occurrence, downtime duration, impact on capacity, budgeting, staffing requirements, and capital investment projects to improve order to cash speed and efficiency.

Available Shift:

Office Hours

5:30 am to 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday, start and end time will vary during normal business hours based on seasonality and functional execution requirements.

A successful Maintenance Specialist will:

  • Drive the utilization of the Thrive (CMMS) system for all physical plant and equipment maintenance requirements.
  • Perform necessary maintenance and repair activity, tracking downtime and cost in Thrive.
  • Communicate with Operations leadership regarding downtime and priority for impacts to productive capacity.
  • Arrange maintenance and repair activity with external vendors as necessary, clearly defining scope, assuring proper completion, and capturing all cost and activity details to the proper asset(s) in Thrive.
  • Maintain the Thrive Maintenance module to account for all managed Assets and proper workflow capture.
  • Maintain adequate critical spare inventory and the necessary tools to support maintenance and repair activity.
  • Develop necessary schedules, documentation, training, and assure that autonomous preventative maintenance is performed as required.
  • Develop key performance metric dashboards in Thrive to demonstrate the value and performance of maintenance activities.
  • Communicate key performance metrics with operations and cross-functionally daily.
  • Suggest and support the implementation of new equipment and processes to increase uptime and capacity for speed and efficiency of order fulfillment.
  • Additional projects or duties as assigned.


Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Relevant technical training and/or experience
  • Ability to safely lift up to 45 pounds
  • Excellent computer skills, can work independently in Excel and all Microsoft programs
  • Proficient English through both written and verbal communication
  • Minimum of one year of experience or background working in manufacturing environments is required

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Operating with a CMMS for maintenance and repair processes
  • Experience implementing projects or systems
