HR Works is exclusively partnering with its client, a mid-size health care organization, with its search for a Chief Operating Officer. This is a Direct Hire opportunity. This role will work fully onsite in Rochester, NY. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring operational excellence across the organization. The Chief Operating Officer's primary goals will be to increase the organization's productivity, efficiency, and profitability. The Chief Operating Officer will advise the Board on key operational insights as well as providing direction and coaching to employees. The Chief Operating Officer collaborates closely with the Board to maintain compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards, financial oversight and management, as well as assisting in recruiting new practitioners. The Chief Operating Officer works closely with the Clinical Manager to maintain appropriate staffing levels, credentialing of Medical Staff, and clinical activities. The Chief Operating Officer is the point of contact for the Department of Health, third-party payers, vendors, and collaborates with outside legal and accounting consultants as needed.


Responsibilities

  • Produce annual operation forecasting report and strategy
  • Monitors all Operating Accounts including checking, credit card transactions
  • Maintains and updates monthly Accrual to Cash conversion sheet for distribution determinations
  • Oversee and evaluate day-to-day operations, including all Human Resources functions including but not limited to: staffing, engagement, performance management, recruitment, and compliance.
  • Leads all compensation planning and strategies
  • Present operational strategy recommendations to the Board
  • Reviews and approves all A/P, reviews A/R indicators, and works with individual billers on collection issues and intervenes with Insurance companies to assist in collection of accounts


Qualifications


  • Master s Degree in Healthcare Administration or a related field is required
  • CASC- Certified Administrator Surgery Center current certification and credits required
  • 10+ years of executive leadership experience is required; 5+ years must be in a mid-sized (100 +) healthcare organization
  • 5+ years of directly managing account payable and accounts receivable is required
  • Strategic planning and business development experience
  • Strong written and verbal and presentation skills
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills


Compensation

The compensation range for this position is $135,000-$195,000.
