About t h e Role The Assistant Inventory Planner is a critical support role to the Inventory Planning and Control Manager. This role will be responsible for all duties related to supporting the daily operations of Inventory Planning. Under the direction of the Inven tory Planning and Control Manager, the Assistant Inventory Planner will manage SKU creation and maintena nce, Purchase Order creation and coordination for all product logistics. This role will be a key contact for communication with agents and vendors regar ding timely shipments and cost - efficient consolidation of product. This position plays a central role to further improve interdepartmental communication, explore additional cost saving opportunities in freight consolidation and transport and to help improv e the overall efficiencies of Inventory Management. W hat Youre Responsible For Assist Inventory Plan ning and Control Manager to r eview and analyze business to identify potential inventory opportunities or liabilities Collaborate with Product Developmen t team to create seasonal SKU s and maintain an accurate SKU database Collaborate with Inventory Planning and Control M a nager to create all purchase orders as needed Own the purchase order process from PO creation to vendor confirmation. Responsible for en suring that all purchase orders have the most accurate information in internal systems Act as primary liaison between vendors and internal teams regarding open purchase orders Review sales projections and backorder reporting , prop ose and coordinate air shi pments with Vendors as needed Own execution and distribut ion of weekly reporting as well as ad hoc documents as needed for cross functional team support Create transfers across sales channels as needed Support Inventory Logistics Lead as needed during peak periods Lead or participate in departmental projects to improve systems or efficiencies Analyze and provide insights to internal teams on returns. Publish quarterly returns reporting Qualifications 2 3 + years of Retail experience preferably in an Inventory Planning function Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience High degree of organization and ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously Have a desire and willingness to work collaboratively Possess strong organizational skills and th e ability to prioritize workload to meet deadlines Experience & high level of proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint . Net Suite experience a plus. A strong sense of ownership over work and results Communicates effectively with all levels of t he organization Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
