At the Tom James Company, an Assistant supports our sales team members, store leaders, and key organizational leaders fulfilling our mission to be a global leader in the fashion industry. An Assistant is a valued member of the Tom James sales support team.
Current position is part time at 25 hours per week with a starting rate of pay at $17.00 per hour.
Core Responsibilities
The Assistant's responsibilities include day-to-day support of their sales team member which includes tasks such as Social Media Marketing, new client prospecting, tracking orders, entering sales leads, delivering customer service, and providing day-to-day support for client visits. The assistant also has the privilege of helping to build the Tom James business. The job responsibilities of an assistant at Tom James are:
Social Media Marketing
LinkedIn Prospecting
o ZoomInfo
Online Networking
o Brand Creation
Prepares necessary aspects for each day's client visits
o Preps clothing to be delivered
o Locates necessary client information (A/R balances, sales sheet)
o Updates sales materials regarding fabrics/options
Coordinates and maintains all client orders/files
Delivers client communication such as:
o Setting up appointments
o Communicating about orders
o Scheduling deliveries
o Sending reminders
Communicates regularly with sales professional and other members of the store team; meets regularly with sales professional for setting goals
Supports the sales efforts of the sales professional
o Manages daily calendar
o Organizes inventory
Prospects new clients using internet and social media applications
o Enters referrals into CRM
o Sends introductory and promotional messages
o Creates call lists/hot lists
Delivers exceptional customer service (during interactions such as contacting factories, working with accounting, navigating alterations and/or returns)
Pursues efficiencies for processes and communication to make the sales process more efficient
Picks up and delivers client items as needed
Maintains a professional image to interface with corporate clients

Yearns to work in a fast-paced team environment
Ability to bend and lift up to 20 lbs.
Two years office-related experience
Experience with a sales-oriented environment is a plus!
