Kelly Services is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Associate Technician - Quality Control based out of Florence, KY 41042, United States. This is a 12-month contract position, perfect for someone looking to gain significant experience in a dynamic manufacturing and technology (R&D Environment).
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Basic math skills, including percentages, averages, unit conversions
- Minimum color aptitude (score of 50 or lower on the Farnsworth-Munsell Hue Test)
- Ability to lift 55 pounds
- Dependable transportation
- Strong commitment to safety
Overview:
You will be responsible for the hands-on completion of laboratory analyses of incoming raw materials, in-process samples, and final batch samples. This includes operating injection molding equipment to prepare test specimens and ensuring compliance with the Company's Environmental and Quality Policies.
Responsibilities:
- Conducting detailed analyses in support of manufacturing, including tests like MV, ASH, MFR/MVR, Adhesion, Melt Viscosity, Ash %, Melt Flow Rate, Melt Volume Rate, Volatile, and Visual Color
- Maintaining diligent record-keeping, documentation, accurate calculations, and reporting
- Communicating effectively with various departments including operations and technical teams
- Adhering to a rotating shift schedule, including day and night shifts
- Managing multiple simultaneous samples in an organized, high-quality environment
