The Club Management Association of America (CMAA), the largest professional association for managers of membership clubs, seeks a Staff Accountant. This position will be responsible for processing accounts payable, accounts receivable and cash receipts. This individual will also be responsible for financial reporting, general ledger and sub account analysis, month-end closing, as well as variance analysis and other special projects as assigned.
CMAA is seeking a self-starter with a bachelor s degree in business. Successful candidates will have a minimum of 1-2 years of experience in accounting. Preferred experience working in a professional non-profit association environment and/or familiarity with private membership clubs. Individual must be a collaborator, highly organized, detailed oriented, have excellent communication and customer service skills. Individual should have experience working with membership database systems (NetForum a plus) and accounting software (Great Plains and Concur a plus). The position offers a competitive salary of $65,000 with expected bonus potential. The benefits package includes 401(k), medical/dental plan, and paid parking. Office located near the King Street Metro Station in Old Town Alexandria.
