Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Curriculum Development:
Develop and update the curriculum for electronics and instrumentation training programs based on industry needs and advancements.
Design instructional materials, lesson plans, and assessments to support student learning.
Incorporate industry best practices, emerging technologies, and safety protocols into the curriculum.
2. Instruction and Delivery:
Deliver engaging and effective classroom and hands-on instruction in electronics and instrumentation principles, techniques, and troubleshooting.
Utilize a variety of teaching methods and resources to accommodate diverse learning styles and maximize student engagement.
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages active participation and collaboration among students.
3. Laboratory Management:
Oversee and maintain electronics and instrumentation laboratory facilities, equipment, and supplies.
Develop and implement safety procedures and protocols for lab activities.
Demonstrate and guide students in the proper use of equipment and tools, emphasizing safety and best practices.
4. Assessment and Feedback:
Evaluate student performance through assignments, projects, exams, and practical assessments.
Provide constructive feedback on student work and progress, offering suggestions for improvement and remediation as needed.
Monitor and track student attendance, participation, and academic progress.
5. Industry Engagement:
Stay current with advancements in electronics and instrumentation technologies, trends, and industry standards.
Foster relationships with local businesses, industry professionals, and relevant organizations to enhance program quality and align training with workforce needs.
Collaborate with industry partners to develop internships, cooperative education opportunities, or job placement programs for students.
6. Advising and Support:
Assist students in setting academic and career goals, providing guidance on course selection and program requirements.
Offer mentoring and support to students, addressing academic or personal challenges and referring them to appropriate resources when necessary.
Facilitate professional development opportunities for students, such as industry certifications and networking events.
7. Administrative Duties:
Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and other relevant data.
Assist with program promotion, recruitment, and enrollment activities.
Collaborate with department faculty and staff on program development, assessment, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in Electronics, Instrumentation, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred.
Solid knowledge and experience in electronics and instrumentation principles, PLCs, circuits, systems, and troubleshooting.
Industry experience in electronics and instrumentation or related fields is highly desirable.
Teaching or training experience, preferably in a post-secondary or vocational setting.
Familiarity with instructional technologies, software tools, and simulations relevant to electronics and instrumentation training.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students.
Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
Commitment to professional growth and staying updated on industry advancements and instructional methodologies.
