Key Responsibilities:

  • Assists a craftsman, and subcontractors to perform a variety of hands-on construction tasks at various projects based on the needs and under the direction of the Project Manager, including but not limited to interior framing, installing windows and doors, hanging, finishing, and repairing drywall, flooring; interior and exterior painting; trim work and cabinetry installation. Exterior work includes siding, soffit, facia, and gutters.
  • Utilize a range of hand tools and equipment to complete necessary work (e.g., saws, drills, sanders, grinders, pneumatic air nail guns, jack hammers, demo hammers).
  • Use software to calculate and prepare estimates for all clients.
  • Initiate agreements and negotiations with sub-contractors, vendors, and partners that will maximize value to client.
  • Work with vendors and subcontractors to ensure the best and most accurate costs.
  • Collaborate with the Sales team to ensure estimates are accurate to customer specifications.
  • Maintains quality service by following organization standards.
  • Work with Project Manager to complete budgeting and scheduling. Monitor progress, complete requisitioned change orders and identify any potential risks.
  • Provide clear detailed quantity take offs.

  • Must be able to walk, stand, sit, see, hear, and speak for extended periods of time. Incumbent must be able to climb ladders, crouch, and bend.
  • On occasion, may be working near moving equipment and machinery, power tools. Must be able to operate both hand and power tools, including saws, drills, hammers, etc.
  • May be required to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 25 pounds on a periodic basis.
  • Must be able to travel independently to project sites.
  • Will be exposed to climate conditions when traveling to and visiting project sites. Worksites may include exposure to dust and dirt.
  • Position may occasionally require overnight travel.
  • Position works primarily Monday through Friday. May require occasional weekend work.
  • OSHA 30-hour Certification
  • Requires valid drivers license and personal vehicle with insurance.
  • Certificate or Associate's degree in skilled trade or technical field preferred.
  • Must periodically pass random drug screening.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
