Rampart Bioscience is currently seeking a self-motivated and talented Research Associate to join our Analytical Operations team. The position is onsite at Ramparts labs in Monrovia, CA.

Reporting to the Director of Analytical Operations, the individual will work closely with members of the Analytical Operations team to design, build and invent leading-edge analytics to accelerate the company's program priorities, everything from idea all the way to IND.

The Impact You Will Make

As our Research Associate, Analytical Operations, you will have a unique opportunity to join our growing team in Analytical Method Development, Preclinical sample testing and Quality Control from the beginning. Cell and gene therapy (CGT) is the fastest-growing area of therapeutics and the medicines under development are cutting-edge technology. Youll be at the center of our work to advance therapies that can help ameliorate certain diseases with the opportunities to be creative, innovative and inventive with method design. Youll be mentored by the Analytical Senior Director who has over 20 years biotech industry experience in cell and gene therapy. Our team has a strong passion for patient-focused execution of our therapies to interrogate these novel medicines. We would like you to be a part of this team to design, build and invent leading-edge analytics to accelerate the companys program priorities, everything from idea all the way to IND.


What You'll Do

You will be responsible for the design, execution, and analysis of experiments to support vector and cellular analytical method development in support of research/discovery, process development, pre-clinical and clinical testing. Youll be curious with an ability to communicate complex scientific concepts and vision to an audience of other scientists, associates, and senior management and gain broad understanding. Your flexible workstyle, leadership, and ability to adapt to a dynamic team environment by maintaining a constant stream of communication with others will be key. Specifically, youll:

Support method development and routine testing under the guidance of fellow scientists and department leadership.

Apply current knowledge and skills in molecular and cellular biology to analyze cell and gene therapy products under development.

Maintain and derive cell lines required to support method development and assay controls.

Execute experiments with the guidance of scientists or the study director.

Aid in the design of experiments and generation of data reports.

Prepare cell culture media and other laboratory reagents and solutions.

Perform equipment maintenance according to outlined procedures.

Assist with writing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Test Methods, and other laboratory supporting documents.


What Youll Bring

Bachelor's degree in life sciences (Cell Biology/Molecular Biology) or related discipline.

Up to 1 year experience of relevant laboratory experience.

Experience with cell culture and common molecular biology techniques highly preferred.

Enthusiastic and passionate about science and cell and gene therapy.

Ability to learn complex concepts and apply current methodology to solving complex problems.

Desire to be part of a rapidly evolving organization where you will showcase your decision-making, leadership, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

A team player able to drive work forward while maintaining constant communication stream within and outside the department.

Passion to prove yourself as you develop, learn, and grow your knowledge, techniques, and skills. Superior written and oral communication skills.

Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills, and the ability to work independently and effectively in a highly dynamic environment.

Enthusiastic, driven, and able to adjust workload based on changing priorities.

Demonstrated planning and flexibility skills to work across a variety of projects to meet goals and complete work on time.

Experience with analytical method development, preferred.

Experience with plate-based assays, such as ELISAs and enzymatic tests, preferred.

Familiarity with data analysis and visualization software packages (JMP, Graphpad etc.), preferred.


Benefits & Additional Information

Compensation range: $67,000-$80,000 annually, commensurate with qualifications.
