Intepros seeks a dynamic Pricing Specialist to join our client's team, dedicated to cultivating expertise in both ferrous and non-ferrous scrap markets. This role involves producing high-quality prices and news aligned with the company s PRA (Price Reporting Agency) approach. Working collaboratively within regional and global teams, the Price Reporter will contribute to the market's development and consistency. This role is remote but canidates local to Pittsburgh, PA will be highly considered for the role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop comprehensive knowledge of non-ferrous, ferrous, and battery scrap markets, including understanding fundamentals, supply chains, end-uses, and key market players.
- Gather pricing data and establish prices in accordance with the company s rigorous methodology, price specifications, and IOSCO (International Organization of Securities Commissions) principles.
- Provide coverage and maintain consistency across pricing patches, supporting colleagues as needed and contributing to a broader knowledge base.
- Conduct peer reviews of prices to ensure adherence to processes and accurate application of editorial judgment, thereby ensuring the representativeness of prices.
- Craft market commentaries, breaking news, and informative content with a PRA perspective, aiming to increase readership and the use of prices in various contracts.
- Expand industry contacts for pricing data submission and exclusive news, utilizing various communication channels including face-to-face meetings and networking events.
- Address inquiries from contacts and the market regarding specific pricing sessions, seeking guidance when necessary to maintain transparency in processes and judgment.
- Collaborate with the section editor to evaluate the current pipeline of prices and identify opportunities for new price launches.
- Contribute to the team s market engagement plan by producing PRA content, white papers, infographics, participating in events, promoting the company on social media, and attending industry meetings.
