**Senior Backend Engineer - Connected Retail**

As a **Senior Backend Engineer** in Retailer Experience team you will be part of designing and developing optimal solutions to fulfill retailer requirements. Our team is responsible for Onboarding of partners, user management including IAM and retailer reporting services.
**WHERE YOUR EXPERTISE IS NEEDED**
* Lead technical discussions
* Conduct prestudies and validate different options
* Develop backend services with highest quality
* Contribute to build an ecosystem where our partners can connect to and sell at Zalando
* Participate in company wide development of best practices at Zalando
**WHAT WERE LOOKING FOR**
* Fluent in at least **one major programming language** and eager to learn new technologies. Check out our for more information on the technologies used at Zalando.
* Proven experience in developing **Microservice based systems** and **Event-Driven architecture.**
* **AWS** and **Kubernetes** knowledge is seen as an advantage.
* **Mentor** junior developers in best practices
