Overview:
We are searching for a skilled financial specialist to join our AP team to help process, track, and record payments in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner. The AP Associate will have a daily, ongoing impact on financial transactions, keeping us on track, on time, and on good terms with our valued partners.
You will:
- Manage accounts payable using accounting software, inventory systems and other programs
- Review invoices for appropriate coding and approval utilizing an intelligent document processing solution
- Handle accounts payable for separate entities and vendors
- Process transactions and perform accounting duties such as account maintenance, recording entries and reconciling books of accounts
- Vendor on-boarding
- Statement and account reconciliations
- Initiate payments via ACH, check, credit card and wire
- Manage reports for multiple systems
- Manage multiple inboxes
- Participate in the month end close
- Work independently to resolve issue both internally and externally
- Communicate and escalates any issues to Manager in a timely manner
- Understand and adheres to all policies related to the organization
- Support the company in optimizing its financial transactions and systems
- Strengthen and grow relationships with vendors and suppliers through timely payments
- Assist in streamlining and improving the accounts payable process
- Exercise integrity and confidentiality in financial reporting
- Comply with departmental and company policy
- Takes on ad-hoc projects as needed
What you bring:- Experience in accounts payable
- Understanding of basic principles of finance, accounting, and bookkeeping
- Experience with accounting, inventory software and online platforms
- Superb time management skills and detail orientation
- Strong interpersonal communication and listening skills.
- Advanced Excel Skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of company and partner information
