job summary:
Hybrid remote PLS-CADD Design Engineer or Designer opportunity with a client located South of the Charlotte, NC area. This position will be responsible for the full project life cycle for the engineering and design of electrical overhead, new capacity projects, and infrastructure replacement projects. The client offers a solid benefits plan. Local candidates are preferred although relocation assistance is available for those eligible.

responsibilities:
- Full life cycle project design on electric transmission projects for high-voltage (HV) overhead utility systems
- Develop design packages for projects, enhancing customer service and reliability
- Assist the team as well as independently perform engineering analyses, prepare bidding documents, plans and specifications
- Prepare material procurement and construction documents, and work with project planning, environmental, permitting, and construction management
- Manage client relations proposal development, scope creation, and project management
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or the equivalent combination of education and experience (will consider non-degreed talent based on relevant experience)
- Approximately 5 or more years of transmission line designs including PLS-CADD models, foundations, materials, plan and profiles, and construction packages
- Experience with AutoCAD
- Develop project scopes, budgets, and proposals
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment but also able to work independently
