We are currently operating hydromet operation and are scheduled to restart the concentrator operations at the Mineral Park Mine and meet the growing global demand for copper.
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Accountant to join our team. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), the Senior Accountant will play a pivotal role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting various business functions, and contributing to the overall success of our organization. The ideal candidate will possess a combination of technical expertise and strong communication skills.
This is an on-site role in Kingman, Arizona.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare general entries and help draft financial statements (reviewed by CFO).
- Conduct cost accounting and reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
- Assist with Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) functions as needed.
- Utilize advanced Excel skills, including vlookups and pivot tables, to analyze financial data and support decision-making processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support ERP implementation efforts (Sage, with a transition to SAP or Pronto).
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and clear communication while interacting with internal stakeholders and external partners.
- Demonstrate high emotional intelligence and the ability to adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic work environment.
- Continuously seek opportunities for learning and professional development, while being receptive to feedback and coaching.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CPA, CMA, or CGA designation preferred, or actively working towards certification.
- 2-3 years of experience in general accounting, financial statement preparation, and cost accounting.
- Background in public accounting or auditing is preferred.
- Experience in the mining, manufacturing, or construction industry is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (experience with Sage is a plus).
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
