2024 Indian River School District Summer School Information
When:
- Summer School Dates: Monday through Thursday from July 8, 2024-August 1, 2024
- Teachers: 7:30-11:30 or 8:00-12:00 ( hour planning)
- Students would attend from 8:00-11:30
- Slight variations with start and end times based on the transportation schedule
- Autism/12-month Program- Dates stay the same, but the student day runs from 8:00 am to 2:30 pm inclusive of lunch
Who:
Summer School Programming is designed to support Pre-K through 12th grade students and TAPP and STEP (18-22) students.
Please NOTE: All current 5th and 8th grade students, and four-year old's will attend summer programming in their 2023-2024 school location hub.
Where:
Hub Locations - Summer positions are only posted by hub location, not each individual school - JMC: JMC, LB, PCS Students
- EME: EME, LN Students
- GE: NG and GE Students
- IRSD Early Learning Center: ELC and TAPP students
- HTE: HTE, Ennis Early Learning Center, and Autism/12-month
- SCHS: GM, MM, and SC Credit Recovery, Driver's Ed, and ESY
- IRHS: SM, IR Credit Recovery, Driver's Education, and ESY
- SDSA: Report to Home Elementary School and High School Hub Locations
- SDSA Students out of the District will attend the school closest to their drop-off location.
Staffing Information: - Pay Rate Information
- Teachers and paraprofessionals will be paid their per diem hourly rate - please refer to your payroll sheet that you received at the start of the school year
- If a teacher substitutes for a teacher- per diem hourly rate
- If a teacher substitutes for a paraprofessional- per diem hourly rate as a paraprofessional
- Summer School Job Postings: March 4th- March 27th (Everyone is required to apply)
- July 1st - Day PD (AM- Elementary Only), Classroom Set-Up (AM- Secondary, PM- Elementary)
- August 1st - Day (PM)- Classroom Breakdown and Data Collection
