Position Overview: We are seeking a talented and motivated Criminal Law Intake Attorney to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in criminal law and a passion for advocating for clients in need. As a Criminal Law Intake Attorney, you will be responsible for evaluating potential cases, conducting client interviews, and providing initial legal advice and guidance.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial consultations with potential clients to assess the merits of their case
- Gather relevant information, including police reports, witness statements, and other evidence
- Analyze legal issues and provide clients with an overview of their rights and options
- Collaborate with other attorneys and legal staff to develop case strategies
- Maintain accurate and organized case files
- Communicate regularly with clients to provide updates on their case and address any concerns
- Represent clients in court hearings and other legal proceedings as needed
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- Admission to the Arizona State Bar
- Minimum of 4 years of experience practicing criminal law, preferably in a law firm setting
- Strong knowledge of Arizona criminal statutes, procedures, and case law
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to manage a high-volume caseload and work effectively under pressure
- Commitment to upholding ethical standards and providing quality legal representation
