Environment, Health and Safety Manager


Job Details

The Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S) Manager has responsibility for the Safety, Health, and Environmental management systems for the facility which includes office space and distribution center, in alignment with the company s Environmental, Health & Safety programs. This position will serve as a catalyst and expert resource to promote and develop an innovative and proactive safety culture within the facility. The EH&S Manager reports directly to the Facility Manager.



RESPONSBILITIES:

Provide strategic leadership and partnership to the site leadership team, while managing internal and external stakeholders.

Utilize change management to drive implementation of safety systems and processes.

Serve as a coach, functional expert, and change agent to drive behavior-based safety programs, safety as a value culture, environmental excellence, and continuous improvement.

Integrate and drive functional efforts to achieve and maintain third party EH&S certifications.

Collaborate with other facility functions (purchasing, engineering, maintenance, quality assurance, etc.) to ensure new products, capital projects, and functional activities are aligned with the facility EH&S objectives.

Oversee training programs for safety incident prevention and protection and environmental management.

Partner with HR on health and well-being programming.

Coordinate and oversee EH&S performance, prevention, and directs activities at the facility.

Develop and implement processes and procedures to ensure facility, employee, visitor, and contractor compliance are within compliance to company and regulatory agency safety and environmental policies, including related federal, state, and local legislation and regulations.

Lead continuous improvement teams such as the EH&S Pillar.


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor s degree preferred in an environmental and/or safety-related discipline.

Minimum 5 years of experience in leading safety, loss control, risk management, environmental, and/or occupational health activities. Experience in a distribution setting preferred.

Minimum of 3 years of experience with leading teams, projects, and/or cross functional initiatives

Safety/Fire/Risk Management designation such as ASP, CSP, CFPS. OHST, ARM

Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus

Open to 20% travel to our other operations if needed
