Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Controller to join our team. As a Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities of the company and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, technical accounting knowledge, and experience with regulatory reporting.
Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of the company's financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger accounting
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and forecasts
- Conduct regular account reconciliations to ensure accuracy
- Oversee the preparation of regulatory reporting and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
- Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets
- Provide guidance and support to the finance team on technical accounting issues
- Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits
- Stay up-to-date on changes in accounting regulations and best practices
- Utilize accounting software such as Sage to streamline processes
Experience:
Familiar with the Oil/Gas Industry.
Experience in both Revenue and Finance
- Finance experience includes Experienced in: Banking/vendor payments, Manage Budgets, Forecasts and variance write ups, Run Financial statements, with supporting balance sheet reconciliations, balance sheet, income statement and cash flows
- Revenue experience includes: Revenue processing, good understanding of JIB's. Understanding of Land and land billing, work closely with Land manage well drilling, completion and LOE. Maintain Fixed Assets and Inventory; manage depletion, accretion, impairment and ARO liability.
