Job Details

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a corporate legal department
  • Experience negotiating commercial contracts and other experience demonstrating ability to handle and close commercial and legal negotiations.
  • In the staffing industry and/or energy, life sciences or technology sectors preferred, including experience with temporary and direct-hire staffing agreements.
  • Experience and understanding of Certificates of Insurance and basic business insurance.
  • Management experience of contracts administrators preferred.
  • Experience with reporting on contracts-related metrics and developing processes and procedures for contract review.

Skill:

  • Advanced computer skills with MS Office and proficiency in effective file management processes and maintaining contract-related databases.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills with good vocabulary, good grammar and the ability to independently compose complex written communications.
  • Analytical and research skills required
  • Strong interpersonal skills and team-oriented outlook for inter-departmental and external company interaction.
  • Organizational skills required to effectively manage competing demands in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to think and decide quickly and to communicate legal issues and solutions, clearly and concisely.

Ability to:

  • Review, markup/draft (from forms and from scratch), negotiate and close commercial contracts, including staffing and recruiting agreements, master service agreements, RFP responses, statement of works, supplier agreements and any other contractual agreements.
  • Manage contracts administrators and the department.
  • Provide training to internal staff related to contractual matters.
  • Assess and evaluate commercial and legal risk during the contract review process.
  • Provide rapid, practical, business-oriented legal/commercial contract advice directly to internal and external clients.
  • Support the business in negotiating with external clients.
  • Apply innovative problem-solving skills and practical business judgment to maximize revenues, minimize risk and foster long-term client relationships.
  • Collaborate with other internal teams such as Placement Support, Finance and with the Head of Risk Management and Compliance
  • All other duties as assigned.

Knowledge:

  • J.D. degree from an accredited law school is required.
  • Licensed to practice law in any U.S. State
