Title: Senior C/C++ Developer
Location: Hybrid, NY,NY
Type: 1-year long contract with possibility of extension
Overview:
Our client is looking for multiple C/C++ developers to support a large insurance company with the migration, debugging, enhancing, and development of enterprise applications. The successful candidate will have an extensive background migrating and debugging C, C++, Perl applications/scripts to Python and with automation for containers like Docker or Kubernetes
Responsibilities:
- Migrating some apps from C/C++, and Pearl to Python.
- Debugging, migrating, and enhancing some C/C++, Pearl and Python apps.
- Porting existing script-based debug to their next generation simulation and emulation validation model.
- Debugging C/C+, Pearl and Python apps.
- Enhancing C/C++, Pearl and Python apps.
- Review the operation of our existing script-based debug environment.
- Gather the requirements for adding support for the next generation simulation and emulation platforms.
- Update the C/C++, Python & Perl interface, and control libraries, adding support for the next generation architecture.
- Develop Python & Perl test scripts to exercise the simulation and emulation platforms.
- Work with bring-up team to debug and support on emulation platforms
Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience developing application utilizing C.
- 8+ years of experience developing/modifying C/C++ software in response to software bugs and new capability development
- 8+ years' experience developing drivers or firmware.
- 8+ years of experience doing maintenance, enhancement, and development with Perl v 5.2 5.38, and Python v 3.6-3.12 in response to software bugs and new capability development.
- Recent experience supporting an architectural migration of the software containers, with an orchestration engine such as Kubernetes.
- Recent experience developing, maintaining, and enhancing software scripts.
- Recent experience developing and debugging software interfaces and related functionality with external systems.
