Description

Johnson & Quin specializes in producing large volume direct mail and integrated communication campaigns for well-known marketing companies throughout the U.S. Our teams use the latest technology in data processing, security, personalization and mailing to create highly personalized and variable communications.

POSITION FUNCTION

Responsible for overall project management of highly complex on-going and one time client jobs. Coordinates all phases of creative, production, manufacturing and distribution of the client's direct mail product while ensuring adherence to the specifications supplied to the Company by the client. Assures the financial and procedural efficiencies for all projects managed.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Manages large/complex one-time and ongoing programs from inception through execution. Actively monitors schedules/production to ensure quality of project and develops systems of audit checks which apply to each project.
  2. Enters job specifications in the Monarch information system, completes job tickets, and creates/updates spreadsheets for their accounts each project.
  3. Accountable for profit/loss on all projects managed. Analyzes jobs from a financial perspective; i.e., quarterly reviews of ongoing jobs, post-analysis of one-time jobs, and review of processes to create workflow and financial efficiencies.
  4. Works in conjunction with sales department (or assumes the role of salesperson in their absence) during client visits, preflight meetings, approval sessions, meetings, or presentations.
  5. Keeps an accurate record of the amount of time put forth into each project, analyzes and compares to estimates, and tracks trends to provide scheduling and estimating data aiding in their processes.
  6. Serves as a source of answering procedural, production, and process-related questions on the team. May be asked to consult on other AM's large projects.
  7. Writes up job specifications and sales proposals. Interprets/computes margin on estimates.
  8. Works in conjunction with sales to develop and implement new programs for existing accounts.
  9. Consults with external clients to recommend cost saving provisions, production-related efficiencies, and overall streamlining of the account.
  10. Adheres to all Security Policies and Procedures as referenced in the Employee Security Handbook.


WORKING CONDITIONS

Normal office environment and some exposure to a manufacturing plant facility onsite. Flexible schedule based on department rotating schedule for in-office assignments.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS
  • 5-7 years of experience in project management in direct marketing or related field.
  • College degree in graphic communications, printing technologies or business-related field or equivalent preferred.
  • Knowledge of postal regulations and procedures is essential. Knowledge of laser imaging, bindery, pre-press, printing, lettershop and data processing a plus.
  • Experience with color digital a plus.
  • Strong project management, multi-tasking, and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrates effective communication and customer services skills.
  • Ability to focus on priorities and objectives and adhere to target deadlines.
  • Must have strong organizational skills with ability to manage deadlines and prioritize workload and make adjustment to meet business needs.
  • Records management/document control experience desired; paper and electronic.
  • Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Teams, Word, and Outlook).


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Must be able to communicate proficiently orally and in writing in English.
  • Able to read handwritten, printed materials, and computer screens.
  • Must have the manual dexterity to manipulate a computer keyboard.
  • Must be able to communicate via the telephone and teleconferencing.
  • Ability to travel by automobile or airplane when necessary.


Salary Description

$80,000 - $90,000
