COMPENSATION:

  • $112,300 - $119,600 Dependent on Experience
  • Compensation may vary outside this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience.
  • Additional yearly quality bonus available

  • Outpatient not-for-profit critical access hospital
  • Shift of four 10-hour days per week
  • Average 10-12 patients per day
  • No call


BASIC FUNCTION:

The Women s Health Nurse Practitioner specializes in providing healthcare to females across their lifespan; focusing on gynecologic and reproductive health, healthcare maintenance and prevention as well as general wellness. They will work under general supervision with the Gynecology physicians and healthcare team to provide professional nurse practitioner care to female patients. Specific experience in caring for general gynecologic conditions, perimenopause and menopause, pelvic floor disorders including incontinence and pelvic pain conditions is highly valued.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Examines patients, performs comprehensive physical examinations, and compiles patient medical data including health history and results of examinations.
  • Works in collaboration with gynecology physician team to assess the physical and emotional needs of patients in the clinical setting.
  • Ensures proper illness and injury care and disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and recovery.
  • May prescribe medications and order diagnostic tests.
  • Advises patients about continuing care.
  • Orders, interprets, and records results of clinical tests and reports results to physicians and other departments, as indicated by the clinical situation.
  • In addition to clinical duties, participates in quality assurance planning, initiatives and improvement projects.
  • Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Active Colorado licensure as a Nurse Practitioner certified with a Women s Health specialty.
  • 5 years working experience in a clinical setting in a similar role preferred.
  • Preferred holistic nursing approach to patient care, additional training in holistic care of patients is valued.
