This position is a full-time, salaried position. A candidate for this position must be available to work 8-hour shifts between the hours of 6:00 AM and 7:00 PM, Monday through Saturday, 40 Hours per week.
A Merchandiser with The Restaurant Store is responsible for managing the presentation of all items within a region while achieving the following standards:
* Optimizing sales based on product placement throughout branch location
* Analytical mindset in order to plan and challenge product allocation within branch locations
* Overall organization and neatness while completing merchandising tasks
* Developing new ways to creatively present products in store
* Developing and training team within merchandising area of branch operations
* Communicating effectively with Merchandising and Marketing teams to implement new merchandising strategies
* Communicating effectively with Inventory and Sales teams in order to alert customers when new or requested items are available in store
This position has the following physical requirements:
* Work is performed while standing and/or walking, up to and including 8 hours/day.
* Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision and hearing.
* Requires the use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
* Requires bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, reaching.
* Requires the ability to lift, carry, push or pull medium weights, up to 50 pounds.
* Requires activities involving being around moving machinery, exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity, and exposure to dust, fumes and gases.
