The High School Ministries Pastor's Responsibilities Include::
Pursuant to and consistent with NorthRidge s Mission:
- Under the direction of the Pastor of Next Generations, lead those in the High School Ministry, while entrepreneurially pioneering and/or implementing new strategies and ministries to properly develop NorthRidge s portfolio of spiritual development opportunities for high school students.
- Lead and develop current staff and volunteers in high school ministries while identifying and developing future staff and volunteers, pursuing best practices for all concerned, including self.
- Identify and/or develop metrics or measurements which will assist in assessing the effectiveness of the High School Ministry and the spiritual growth of the participants.
- Communicate and coordinate with other ministry leads, including the Middle School Pastor and Campus Pastors, as well as all others (Operations, Creative Arts, Marketing & Communications, Business Office), to ensure the highest quality experience for all involved.
- Participate in and contribute to brainstorming and vision sessions with other NorthRidge leaders on a wide variety of issues inside and outside any respective department or ministry area.
- Develop, align, and lead a high school plan/program that provides some sense of an intentional (not necessarily linear) direction through high school as preparation for the next stage of life, containing sufficient distinct levels to offer meaningful spiritual growth opportunities regardless of a participant s spiritual maturity or denominational background.
- Oversee, manage, and/or coordinate the budgets of the High School Ministry.
- Be engaged in various aspects of NorthRidge ministries, including being present for weekend services to interact with attendees, volunteers, and staff.
- Use best efforts to align the High School Ministry with other student and life stage ministries, where and when appropriate, with all other ministries and weekend services to help create a sense of confluence instead of confusion.
- Intentionally work to create and sustain a positive momentum, a positive vibe, positive energy, and a spiritually constructive atmosphere for all concerned.
- Be involved in strategic planning and practical assessment of respective ministries to remain vital and dynamic, while continuously searching for improved and more effective approaches and methods.
- Be an effective communicator for the scope of areas and ministries within the High School Ministry.
