Overview:

*This is a temporary position - Estimated duration is 3 months*

The CAES Quality Assurance function is responsible for ensuring the effectiveness and fulfillment of the CAES Quality Policy, which is to comply fully in the conduct of the Company's business with all applicable
regulatory and customer required specifications, and to maintain an effective Quality Management System, working in partnership with the Operations and Engineering teams to ensure that products and
processes conform to applicable standards and specifications, and the incidence and costs of quality non-conformances are constantly monitored and improved, while maintaining the highest practicable
standards of manufacturing productivity and efficiency.


Quality Inspection at CAES monitors the quality of incoming and outgoing products and materials for the company. The function will conduct tests, analyze measurements, and oversee production processes.
The position will entail performing incoming inspection, in-process inspection, precap and final inspection of complex integrated microwave assemblies and hybrid circuits manufactured within a clean
room environment using a microscope for long periods. Inspect production hardware to ensure they meet internal requirements, using MIL-STD-883, IPC-A-610, J-STD-001 & CAES specific procedures and
our customers requirements as required.



Responsibilities:
  • Work in partnership with the Operations and Engineering teams to ensure that products and processes conform to applicable standards and specifications
  • Ensure incidence and costs of quality non-conformances are constantly monitored and improved
  • Maintain the highest practicable standards of manufacturing productivity and e?ciency
  • Conduct tests, analyze measurements, and oversee production processes
  • Perform incoming inspection, in-process inspection, precap and ?nal inspection of complex integrated microwave assemblies and hybrid circuits manufactured within a clean room environment using a microscope for long periods
  • Inspect production hardware to ensure they meet internal requirements, using MIL-STD-883, IPC-A-610, J-STD-001 & CAES speci?c procedures and our customers requirements as required

Responsibilities will include:

  • Using a microscope for extended periods of time
  • Working in a Clean Room environment
  • Using visual inspection equipment
  • Using of hand-held measuring hand tools


Qualifications:

Minimum:

  • HS Diploma or GED
  • One year of experience in the inspection field
  • This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by US export laws so in order to be eligible for this position, you must be a US Person under US export laws or eligible for approval under a U.S. Government export license.

Preferred:

  • Inspection experience within a defense industry environment and/or microelectronics industry
  • High Attention to Detail
  • Previous Experience with Microscope use in a Clean Room Environment
  • Experience with small hand tools (calipers, pin gages, plug gages, thread gages)
  • Able to read mechanical and assembly drawings and prefer knowledge of electrical drawings
  • Understand micro-electronic / mechanical assemblies (wire bonds, ribon bonds, hand would inductors, circuits boards, cables)
  • MIL-STD-883 or MIL-STD-750
  • IPC-A-610 certified (active or previous certification) or J-STD-001
  • Knowledge of process flow routers / process documentation
  • Knowledge of paint inspection & Helicoil Inspection preferred
  • Experience in inspection in AS9100 Aerospace or another regulated industry (ISO9001; ISO13485)

Hourly Range: $20 - $29 hourly (Woburn, MA)

Applicable pay within the posted range may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographical location, job function of the position, education, and experience of the successful candidate.
