Description
Join our property management team for an exciting opportunity! As a Property Specialist, you'll play a vital role in maintaining the upkeep of our property, facilities, and equipment while ensuring the safety and security of Camp River Ranch. Additionally, you'll partner with our team to provide engaging group activities like climbing wall adventures, boating excursions, and archery sessions. This position is primarily a Thursday- Monday work schedule.
This is a regular, full-time position offering a competitive benefits package including employer-paid medical, dental, life/AD&D and LTD available for employees. The generous paid leave includes two weeks of vacation to start and sick leave. There are 12 paid holidays, including nearly two weeks of paid leave through the winter holidays! The starting salary range is from $21.00 - $25.00/hour. Residency in Washington state is required.
Requirements
Essential Functions:
Assist in maintaining camp property, facilities, and equipment following health and safety regulations, Girl Scout and American Camp Association standards
Support site hosting activities, including group check-in and checkout, preparing unit rentals, and responding to guests' maintenance needs
Assist in implementing capital and major maintenance projects
Maintain a log of maintenance activities and other records as needed
Provide onsite, backup maintenance and security support to designated staff, such as the Site Manager, Property Operations Coordinator, and Camp Program Staff
Education Required:
High school diploma or equivalent
Experience Required:
Three or more years of related experience in trade skills including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, vehicle, and equipment maintenance and operation
Willingness to be trained and certified to facilitate Girl Scout camp activities
Availability to work varied hours including some nights and weekends as necessary
Basic Outlook, Word, and Excel skills preferred in MS O365
Demonstrated ability to multitask, prioritize and meet deadlines, work independently, take initiative, and maintain confidentiality
Valid Washington State driver's license, proof of insurance, and the ability to fulfill travel requirements on time throughout Western Washington
Special Working Conditions:
Work safely with camp equipment including but not limited to chainsaws, ladders, tractors, golf carts, camp vehicles, pressure washers, lawn mowers, weed eaters, hedge trimmers
Work on ladders and roofs of various heights
Operate tractors, lawnmowers, and boats
Year-round outdoor work
Lift objects up to 50 lbs
Physical stamina to work throughout camp, including rough terrain and extensive hills
Work safely with paints, sealers, solvents, etc.
Serve guests of GSWW camps
