We are a recruiting agency supporting a healthcare company near Morristown NJ who are hiring a Senior Accountant. There is training, long term progression and flexibility within this role.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
- Oversee and reconcile general ledger accounts
- Lead month-end and year-end closing processes
- Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff
- Manage and ensure accuracy of financial records and transactions
- Review and approve journal entries and account reconciliations
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes
- Coordinate and liaise with external auditors during annual audits
- Analyze financial data and provide insights to support decision-making
- Ensure compliance with relevant tax regulations and filings
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets
- Participate in special projects and initiatives as needed, such as system implementations or process improvements.
Required:
- 2+ years accounting experience
- Bachelor's level education
- Strong excel skills
