Darigold is hiring a Production Lead in Jerome, Idaho. This position is responsible for following all Food Safety and Quality requirements as outlines in Darigold's Good Manufacturing Policy, the position Standard Operating Procedures, and facilitate employee training sessions. The position is also required to report any concerns that may impact Food Safety or Quality to their immediate supervisor, the plant Quality Manager or the Plant Manager. As a critical system support operator, the Production Lead will be assigned duties and tasks to either substitute for a temporary vacant position, fill in on a daily basis for various positions, or to provide support for directed training efforts or projects. As such, the Production Lead must be broadly trained and will be able to capably manage the diverse operations of Receiving/Production/Processing/Drying and Packaging including:

Safe, efficient operation of the Pasteurizers, SAPAC, the UF/RO, the Separator's, the Evap/Dryer and the Receiving Bay, and packaging equipment.

Professional and effective communications with internal and external process customers

Coordination and delivery against the production plan in alignment with the timeline that is sent out daily

Inspection and monitoring of the Receiving/Processing process ensuring proper operation, coordination, and product production; ensures compliance with Good Manufacturing Process Standards

Maintenance and monitoring any required inventory necessary to facilitate the 24 hour production plan

Receive, tend, and load-out the Milk Receiving process from Tanker to Silo

Perform Quality Tests on Raw Milk in accordance with company or regulatory guidelines

Handles, moves, connects, disconnects, cleans, and inspects receiving bay and the equipment servicing the bay

Ensures the safe, efficient and productive ingredient utilization

Monitoring and Maintaining Batch to Production Timeline

Organization of the assigned work area and perform ongoing cleaning tasks in compliance with good manufacturing and warehouse practices

Cleaning and Sanitizing as assigned relative to the assigned work area - Completion Rate of 95% or better for all assigned MSS and PMS tasking

Assisting Maintenance members in routine maintenance and repairs

Collection of information, accurately computes weights and measurements, and completes any required production reports accurately; maintaining any necessary paperwork in good order; and records information relative to amounts received

Maintaining efficiency standards set for the operating area; Contribute improvement ideas and initiatives; Work with a Waste Reduction Mentality

Performing other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications:

Must have experience in Receiving/Processing/Drying operations

Must have demonstrated capability to coordinate the Receiving, pasteurizing, and drying of bulk milk product

Must have demonstrable understanding of Receiving, Raw Inventory standards, Separator operation, UF/RO Process, Drying Operations and Packaging

Must have understanding of Packaging standards and Lot Tracking

Must have ability to obtain antibiotic testing certification

Must have demonstrable understanding of CIPs operation and operation importance

Ability to monitor several concurrent processes simultaneously is critical to success in the position.

Ability to coordinate plan 24 hours ahead with contingency/variance plan

Must be able to stand/walk for 12 hours

Ability to frequently climb and work from ladders

Must maintain awareness and alertness to ensure expedient response to any anomalies in production

Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 60 pounds frequently, between floor level and chest level and above shoulder height

Must be flexible with work schedules

Ability to organize and analyze process problems

Strong oral and written communication skills; must be able to read and follow directions

Must be able to monitor and inspect product and equipment

Strong Computer experience

Must be able to follow instructions with minimal supervision
