POSITION SUMMARY

Tarkett is seeking a Plant Accountant to join our successful and growing team. In this position you will have the opportunity to assist the Campus Controller in the daily operations of the accounting department for our Chagrin and Middlefield Plants. The Plant Accountant will interface with accounting, manufacturing, and management personnel to provide accurate timely reporting and analysis of financial information. This position reports to the Assistant Controller.

ESSESNTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Track and record monthly capital expenditures
  • Communicate with plant operations regarding capital project status and implementation
  • Update and monitor CAPEX system for cash flow spend by project
  • Preforms cyclical fixed asset audits
  • Assist with monthly cycle counts and annual physical inventories
  • Monitor fixed asset acquisitions, disposals, and transfers
  • Responsible for preparing monthly journal entries, analyses, and account reconciliations and assisting with monthly closing process
  • Assists in monthly forecasting and annual plant budgeting processes
  • Support annual WCM Cost Deployment Pillar
  • Conduct ad hoc reporting as required
  • Other projects assigned by the Assistant Controller


REQUIREMENTS (including educational requirements)

  • 0-2 Years of relevant experience - manufacturing environment preferred
  • 4 year college degree, B.S. or B.A. in Accounting or Finance
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel)
  • Experience with SAP is a plus
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Proactive approach in learning the business
  • Ability to interact with employees of all skill levels
  • Strong team player
  • Excellent listening and communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Willingness to grow professionally
