Job Details

The TCP Technician s main responsibility is to perform trailer and reefer repairs on all of out temperature controlled products. In addition, this role will repair basic care and maintenance, including changing oil, and checking fluid levels. Perform repairs to manufacturer and customer specifications. Explain automotive and trailer problems and repairs to clients. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING: Repair and maintain temperature controlled products of all makes and models Track and monitor preventative maintenance schedules and maintenance history of units Order, stock and maintain parts General trailer and refeer repairs as needed Keep up with new industry refrigeration technology and remote monitoring reefer telematics Document detailed work orders Other duties as assigned EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum Required Education level: High School Diploma/GED Years of related experience: 1-2 years of experience in maintenance field Skills & Systems: Required Skills: Diagnostics, Electrical Experience with reefer units, Carrier, and Thermo King 608 Refrigerant Certification Ability to work independently Ability to communicate (written and verbal) effectively Valid driver s license Ability to lift 100 lbs. Ability to stand up to 8 hours per day Preferred Skills: Ability to obtain DOT Medical Card Physical Requirements The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Eyesight and Auditory Skills must be sufficient to meet safety expectations of the position. The employee must be able to verbally communicate with employees, co-workers, and customers in person and by phone. The employee must also be able to travel to various work environments. Hourly wage information is provided for reference. Actual pay will be commensurate with candidate's experience.   • Keep up with new industry refrigeration technology and remote monitoring reefer telematics
  • Document detailed work orders
  • Explain automotive and trailer problems and repairs to clients
  • Perform repairs to manufacturer and customer specifications
  • Maintain and repair reefer units from Carrier and Thermo King
  • Diagnose electrical issues
  • Making sure that facilities remain clean, orderly, and safe for employees and guests
  • Maintaining inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies needed for maintenance tasks
  • Performing regular inspections of facilities to identify and address any issues before they become major problems

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1-2 years
  • Driver License
  • Lift 50 lbs
  • Stand long periods
