**Seasonal Garden Steward, D&R Greenway Land Trust**
AddThis Sharing Buttons Deadline: March 10, 2022 New Jersey D&R Greenway Land Trust seeks a part-time Seasonal Garden Steward, to work up to 24 hours a week, to maintain existing and create new community gardens on Nature Preserves and support our Native Plant Nursery in Central New Jersey. This seasonal position supports the gardens and nursery March through October.
Responsibilities
* Stewarding Community Gardens at St. Michaels Farm Preserve in Hopewell, NJ and creating new gardens at Point Breeze in Bordentown, NJ.
* Manage orientation of community gardeners and volunteers, volunteer events, and end-of-year program evaluation
* Work with administrative staff to ensure registration process for community gardeners and volunteers
* Maintain water system, rototilling, and compost deliveries with Natural Resources Manager
* Plan and create new gardens in Bordentown, with sensitivity to archeological resources
* Maintain gardens throughout the season; manage volunteers and interns to assist maintenance and harvest of produce
* Coordinate the delivery of produce to local charities as requested and maintain relationships with partners
* Support D&R Greenway Land Trusts Native Plant Nursery in Princeton, NJ
* Work with stewardship team and volunteers to coordinate nursery functions such as organizing plants, hoop house maintenance, signage, and other tasks
* Available weekends of spring and fall sales that are open to the public
