Job Details

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Estimator with experience in estimating waste water projects to join our commercial construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction estimating, with specific expertise in analyzing and pricing waste water projects.

*Description*
* *Project Analysis:*
* Review project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to understand the scope of work for waste water projects.
* Analyze project requirements, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor services, to determine accurate cost estimates.
* *Cost Estimation:*
* Prepare detailed cost estimates for waste water construction projects, including quantity take-offs, pricing analysis, and labor and material costs.
* Utilize industry-standard estimating software and tools to generate accurate and competitive bid proposals.
* *Vendor and Subcontractor Management:*
* Solicit bids from vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers for materials, equipment, and services required for waste water projects.
* Evaluate vendor proposals, negotiate pricing, and make recommendations to the project team based on cost-effectiveness and quality.
* *Bid Preparation and Submission:*
* Prepare comprehensive bid packages, including cost breakdowns, project schedules, and value engineering proposals.
* Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure timely and accurate submission of bids to clients and stakeholders.
* *Cost Tracking and Analysis:*
* Track and analyze project costs throughout the construction process, comparing actual costs to estimated costs and identifying variances.
* Collaborate with project managers to implement cost-saving measures and optimize project budgets.
* *Documentation and Reporting:*
* Maintain accurate records of project estimates, bids, and related documentation.
* Prepare reports and presentations summarizing project cost estimates, bid results, and financial analysis for management review.
*Profile*
* Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field preferred.
* Minimum of [X] years of experience in construction estimating, with a focus on waste water projects.
* Strong understanding of waste water construction processes, materials, and industry standards.
* Proficiency in construction estimating software and tools, such as Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or ProEst.
* Excellent analytical and mathematical skills, with the ability to perform detailed quantity take-offs and cost calculations.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with project teams, vendors, and clients.
* Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
* Knowledge of relevant building codes, regulations, and safety standards related to waste water construction projects.
