QUALIFICATIONS

The requirements for this position will be designated by the State Department of Education.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Shall administer punishment and offer solutions for student problems as needed.
  • Shall handle bus problems and administer punishment when needed.
  • Shall assist the Pupil Personnel office in the solution of attendance problems.
  • Shall attend major school functions where large numbers of students are in attendance and assist in supervision when needed.
  • Shall keep records and make reports on student problems and concerns.
  • Shall make referrals to the Guidance Department and Pupil Personnel Department.
  • Shall work closely with the faculty in the improvement of student-teacher relationships.
  • Shall be responsible for keeping the Principal informed and make parental contact concerning disciplinary problems when necessary.
  • Shall share in the responsibility of observing and evaluating teachers and staff members.
  • Shall help supervise extra-curricular activities.
  • Shall help administer and facilitate in-service programs.
  • Shall work with the different school committees.
  • Shall work with the administration of special education program, including being a potential chairperson of ARC meetings.
  • Shall perform any other duties as delegated by the Principal.

Requirements:
  • proper Kentucky School Principal certification;
  • classroom teaching experience;
  • to be a role model in research-based teaching strategies and intervention programs to promote student achievement; and
  • Physical, TB risk assessment, state/national criminal background check, CAN Check, and drug screen.

Working 205 days for the 2024-25 school year.

Salary commensurate with years of teaching experience and rank.
