The Facilities Team Member is responsible for the safe and clean upkeep of the facility. Work must follow a regular schedule and adapt to to daily changes as necessary. This position interacts with all people at the facility and must have an approachable, team player outlook towards work.

**SPECIFIC ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**

**People:**

* Take immediate action on all safety concerns and notify appropriate area Supervisor.

* Assist with setup of facilities for meetings, conferences, classrooms, and other events as needed.

* Coordinate work as necessary with manufacturing, outside services & suppliers, and the building owner.

* Maintain safe aisles.

* Assist other maintenance/service people when needed.

**Process:**

* Make trips to local stores to pickup parts or equipment as needed.

* Multiple checks and emptying of trash and recycling receptacles, throughout shift, of the facility including outdoor receptacles.

* Clean and organize break room; makes coffee, empty trash, recycling, clean tabletops and counters, regular refridgerator cleanings, etc.

* Clean and sanitize restrooms several times throughout the work day including the start and end of the first shift using established practices and procedure.

* Clean, dust and wipe furniture, sweep, mop, or vacuum floors; Empty/clean wastebaskets and trash containers, refill restroom dispensers.

* Strip, clean, buff and apply floor sealer to hard surface floors, vacuum and shampoo carpets.

* Order kitchen supplies (utensils, napkins, creamers, salt & pepper, dish wash soap, etc.)

* Use and maintain assigned power equipment, hand tools, buffers, auto scrubbers, high speed buffer, vacuum , brooms, mops, and squeegees for cleaning and general maintenance of floors, walls, carpets, furniture, etc.

* Facility Repair & Maintenance; minor plumbing, light bulb replacement, ceiling tile exchange, sheet rock repair, painting, and other actions.

* Use of a ladder when required in work assignments.

* Move furniture, equipment, supplies and tools on an incidental basis.

* Wash accessible interior and exterior windows. Clean blinds.

* Perform cleaning and related activities such as snow removal and other debris from sidewalks and parking lots and other outside areas.

* Perform other duties as assigned.

**Performance:**

* Maintain adequate inventory of cleaning supplies and all other miscellaneous custodial products.

* Ensure that all duties are performed in a timely manner consistent with applicable quality requirements, safety guidelines, and applicable procedure.

* Maintain records as required for documenting facility maintenance work.

* Follow instructions regarding the use of chemicals and supplies. Use as directed.

* Perform other duties as assigned.

**Knowledge, Skill & Experience Requirements**

* 3+ years of facilities maintenance experience

* Must maintain a high attention to detail and accuracy

* Strong verbal and written communication skills

* Must be organized and self-motivated

* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

* Ability to multitask with a positive, team player attitude

* Ability to prioritize tasks

* Ability to multi-task and work with a high sense of urgency in a fast-paced office environment.

* Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality of all aspects of job responsibilities, at all times.

* Maintain a pleasant attitude and professionalism while working under high-pressure situations.

* Must be extremely flexible to changing environments and ability to work additional hours, as needed.

* Ability to use snow blower a plus.

**Work environment (****include physical requirements)**

* Must be able to safely work at varying heights throughout the facility utilizing proper safety protocol.

* Must be able to demonstrate safe lifting capability for 50 pounds on a regular basis and be able to operate lifting mechanisms for heavier loads.

* Ability to bend, kneel, squat, twist frequently as well as reach overhead.

* Able to safely operate basic hand tools and simple power tools.

* Wear eye protection, cut, chemical & heat-resistant gloves, heat-resistant sleeves and other Personal Protective Equipment as required.
