Insight Global is looking for an Electronic Technician to join the team sitting remote, for a 100% travel role. The tech will be joining a team in support of a Federal client and will be responsible for traveling from customer site to customer site doing preventative maintenance, annual inspections and break fix on tank gauging systems as well as alarm systems. This individual MUST be comfortable with heights and getting on ladders to do maintenance. Other duties include all paperwork/documentation, replacing boards, ringing out cables, identifying shorts, bending conduit, etc.
Compensation: $30-45/hour; all traveling expenses are reimbursed within a week!
Must-have
* Experience with Electronics troubleshooting/maintenance
* Bending conduit, reading schematics, ringing out cables, etc.
* Documentation capabilities utilizing Microsoft Word and Excel
* Ability to acquire and maintain a U.S. government Public Trust clearance or Common Access Card (CAC)
* Ability to acquire and maintain a corporate credit card
* Ability to travel 100% - relocation is not required
* High school diploma or equivalent
* Credit card able to front expenses
Plusses
* Experience installing or maintaining industrial control systems
* Experience with Government fuel accounting systems (AFHE, FMD, FAS, BSM-E, ATG)
* 4+ years of practical experience, to include: Electronics Repair, Maintenance, Integration, Fielding and Checkout.
* 4+ years' experience performing removal, installation, maintenance, testing, and calibration of Automated Fuel Handling Equipment (AFHE), Airfield Refueling Electrical Supervisions and Control Systems (ARES), or Automated Tank Gauging (ATG) automation instrumentation and sensors.
* Experience in corrective maintenance on the following communication devices of the ATG systems: RTU 8130 associated modules; PLC such as the Modicon U120, Allen Bradley, and GE Fanuc; Phone switches; Radio Modems, External Modems, Radio equipment
* Experience with Automatic Tank Gauging Systems: Veeder-Root, Ronan, Enraf, Barton, Pneumercator, Red Lion.
* Experience with Independent Alarm Systems: Scully, Magnetrol, E&H, Fafnir, Mercoid, Omnitrol, Pneumecator, TLC, Bindicator, Devar, Aggressive Systems, GE Fanuc Programmable Logic Controllers
* Experience with Overfill Protection or Ground Verification Systems: Scully, Varec, Fafnir, GE Fanuc Programmable Logic Controllers
* Experience with serial data communications (e.g., RS-232, RS-485)
