Water Treatment-Regional Sales Manager
The purpose of this position is to achieve sales and profit targets for Industrial Water Treatment applications. This position is also responsible for implementing a strategic plan for the assigned territory to achieve both short-term and long-term financial growth of the territory. This position will be based out of Minnesota, Wisconsin, and/or Illinois.
The following are essential job functions:
- Work with the VP of Sales
- Executes the business plan.
- Sell new business by identifying and calling on prospects.
- Expands current business by identifying and closing additional opportunities in existing accounts.
- Identifies and works with water treatment distributors and water treatment service providers to strategically grow sales.
- Works effectively with corporate resources such as Product Sales Manager and Technical Service Engineers to drive and support sales efforts.
- Meet sales goals and forecasted sales targets.
- Reports on quarterly and annual basis on business plan progress.
- Meets and exceeds gross sales objectives for assigned territory with acceptable gross profit percentages.
- Utilizes specific skill sets or industry knowledge to aid in achieving corporate sales objectives where assigned.
- Works with corporate resources as assigned.
- Reports on sales activities and accomplishments in a timely and accurate manner.
- Participates in internal strategic sales meetings to review achievement of projected goals and objectives.
- Exhibits sound technical acumen relating to product line markets and applications, implementation and maintenance.
- Trains distributors and customers on how to use Cortec products.
- Ensures effective communication occurs within the assigned sales division, with customers and with other Cortec divisions/departments in a timely, professional manner.
- Attends and participates in industry trade shows and conferences as directed.
- Uses time management methods and technology tools effectively to accomplish administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings, updating forecasts, responding to inquiries and communicating with colleagues and management.
- Embraces corporate safety policies and promotes safety in daily activities.
- equires proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- requires frequent communication via telephone, video conferencing, email and text messaging.
- requires 60% travel.
- Job requires a valid driver s license.
