Job Description
This position is a a placeholder. There is currently NO open position.
RESPONSIBILITIES SHALL INCLUDE BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
Performs aircraft/ AGE washing, lubrication, and cleaning tasks IA W applicable technical data.
Performs on and off-equipment maintenance. Tows aircraft/ AGE to support the corrosion control shop.
Applies protective tape and paper and removes after task completion. Performs tasks with minimum supervision.
Removes and replaces panels and cowlings during performance of duties, to be inspected by certified personnel for final check.
Operates required AGE and portable firefighting equipment. Annotates maintenance actions in aircraft records and required forms and is knowledgeable in CAMS documentation.
Practices good housekeeping, tool control, FOO awareness/prevention, and safety at all times.
May be assigned to maintain TO files, bench stock, shop stock, CTKs, or hazardous waste areas.
Shall assist other personnel and work centers as directed. Must promote Company values, policies, and standards of conduct.
Must be customer-oriented and ensure professional coordination with base agencies.
Shall perform other duties assigned to include TOY and travel.
Must be able to workday shift, night shift, or weekend duty as required.
Receives cross-utilization training (CUT) and is qualified to perform those maintenance tasks.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Must possess the knowledge and capability to use common hand tools. Must possess basic mechanical ability. A working knowledge of corrosion theory is desired. Through instruction must acquire knowledge of applicable material, technical data, and safety precautions to be taken during aircraft washing operations. High school diploma or the equivalent is required. Must be able to read, using respirator, must be able to obtain good face piece-to-face seal. Must be able to obtain and maintain a flight line driver's license. Physical exertion requirement is medium.
