Reporting to the Vice President of Human Resources and Engagement, you will work closely and collaborate with the Benefits Manager to support multiple administrator requirements. You will administer and maintain benefits programs and inform and guide employees on benefits matters, including eligibility, coverage, and provisions. As a self-starter with strong interpersonal and communication skills, you will lead compliance activities, including retirement plan audits and filings.

Requirements

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Manage and oversee the Benefit Ticket system.
  • Assist with administering all benefits and retirement programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, and 401(k) plan.
  • Create benefits communications, including brochures, memos, forms, and training initiatives.
  • Explain complex benefits-related concepts in a readily comprehensible manner to all constituencies.
  • Review benefit plan rules, work processes, and calculation changes for all benefit programs.
  • Support various benefits area activities as needed, including enrollment and orientations.
  • Lead the Wellness Program, including coordination of wellness activities.
  • Perform all other duties as required or directed to meet the department's needs.
  • Act as a backup for data transfer tasks.
  • Review and reconcile 401k deferral and loan files weekly.
  • Work with Benefits Manager to reconcile and process benefit invoices monthly (future responsibility).
  • Manually update UKG with Qualified Life Event (QLE) for new deductions.
  • Audit EIN changes in BeneAdmin system and UKG to ensure accurate deductions for transferred employees.
  • Check the BeneAdmin system daily for missing information, especially gender data, to ensure accurate data entry.
  • Manually enter 401k deferral elections in UKG upon HR request for one division (First Degree).
  • Review error reports on Tuesdays and Thursdays, research, and communicate findings to resolve carriers' discrepancies.


Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent work experience in a benefit role within a fast-paced organization.
  • Extensive knowledge of employee benefits and applicable laws.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and forward-thinking skills.
  • UKG experience in benefits administration is strongly preferred.
  • BSwift experience preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills, time management, and attention to detail.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Strong fluency with Excel formulas and functions


Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift to 15 pounds at a time.
