**Position Summary** :
Responsible for purchasing finished goods from overseas suppliers as well as associated analytics around demand planning for a variety of items and customer channels.
**Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:**
* Manage supplier performance in accordance with stated objectives
* Maintain up to date product and PO information in the PeopleSoft system.
* Participate in all new product meetings
* Manage item set up process for assigned brands
* Follow up with Product Development on sample and packaging approvals
* Manage purchasing requirements to ensure PO's are issued as intended
* Collaborate with Enesco-China and directly with suppliers on MOQ issues, price changes, vendor delays, carton pack changes, etc and relay any delays/implications to the appropriate team (sales, customer service, brand managers, etc.)
* Expedite vendor purchase orders to keep out of stocks to a minimum
* Ensure adherence and compliance to procurement processes and policies
* Work with our third-party logistics company to assure that shipments are booked on time and that shipping information is received and accurately reflected in our internal Purchase Order management system
* Identify opportunities to better fill customer demand based on inventory allocation/shortfalls
**Experience, Competencies, and Education:**
* Bachelor's Degree required
* One to three years' experience in purchasing related field and/or inventory management
+ Prefer experience in finished goods sourced outside the US
+ Prefer experience with working with high sku count/seasonal product offering
* Excellent follow-up and time management skills
* Highly effective communicator (written and verbal) and comfortable with communicating across various levels within the organization and to team members both inside and outside the company
