Take on a pivotal role as the Procurement Manager, responsible for overseeing daily procurement activities at their Los Angeles area location. You will lead a team, manage supplier relationships, and implement process improvements to optimize operations.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business or a related field
- Strong financial analysis capabilities
- At least 5 years of progressive experience in supply chain and purchasing activities
- Must have a background working in a manufacturing environment
- Proficient in Continuous Improvement methodology
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Effective problem-solving abilities
- Understanding of risk management principles
- Proven negotiation skills
Responsibilities: - Lead and manage the procurement team
- Source, negotiate, and execute agreements to meet business requirements
- Drive continuous improvement
- Implement process enhancements and provide support for commodity management
- Contribute to the development and implementation of optimized processes as needed
- Oversee day-to-day data collection and supplier improvement efforts
- Drive changes in procurement operations to enhance efficiency
- Identify and support initiatives aimed at reducing costs and improving performance
- Foster communication across departments to promote best practices and cost-saving initiatives
