Position Title: Staff Physician - Primary Care Provider

Reports To: Medical Director

FLSA Status: Exempt

Position Summary: The Staff Physician is a member of the CVIM medical team whose role is to provide both direct patient care through office visits and continuity of care for the entire patient population.

Major Responsibilities

• Provides primary care to patients through scheduled visits, urgent visits, and phone triage
• Provides continuity of care between scheduled visits by managing records, lab and imaging results, and specialty consults
• Provides patient education regarding results/consults and appropriate follow up
• Serves as a medical resource to clinical staff and volunteers
• Serves as a medical resource across CVIM teams (Front Desk, Dispensary, Patient Access)
• Supervises Advanced Practice Providers and RNs/MAs
• Works in collaboration with the Medical Director on projects to improve workflow efficiency and health metrics

Qualifications

• Board Certified/Board Eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
• Current license to practice medicine in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as authorized by the State Board of Medicine
• Demonstrated qualities of leadership, maturity, and integrity
• Experience with EMRs
• Preferred recent or current experience with underserved populations
• Preferred practice experience with certified registered nurse practitioners and physician assistants
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
