Utilizing your knowledge of and experience in Imports and Exports, you will research, identify, and generate new business opportunities and working relationships.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Develop knowledge of Masterpiece International transportation products, services, and rates.
  • Using provided and independently secured leads, make cold calls resulting in scheduled face-to- face sales calls.
  • Perform outside sales, two days weekly, checking in with your manager several times a day. Support sales efforts on local and regional basis.
  • Act as first point-of-contact for client inquiries and rate/information requests.
  • Provide lead generation and new business development.
  • Draft and finalize rate quotations, proposals, and RFQs, and track quotations and client requirements.
  • Create and maintain relations with Freight Agents and Masterpiece staff.
  • Working with appropriate internal resources, collaborate on marketing strategies and territory and coverage plans for new and existing business.
  • Organize rates received from Agents and provide central location for sales to go to with rate request.
  • Attend and provide sales at Industry conferences as necessary.
  • Develop and maintain working knowledge of systems including CargoWise, Outlook, Word, Excel and FileMaker, as applicable.
  • Participate in conferences, meetings, and training courses as applicable.
  • Comply with all Masterpiece policies and procedures.
  • Maintain customer relationships and ensuring customer loyalty through excellent customer service as well as meeting all client needs appropriate to their business.


QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in business, related field or equivalent years of experience required.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in logistics, supply chain or similar industry with at 4+ years of experience in senior management position.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The position is in an indoor, office environment, requires the ability to communicate with internal and external customers or vendors verbally and in writing, sit for periods of time, operate typical office equipment which requires seeing and the use of a keyboard.

Base Compensation Range: $80-$125k annually
