**Description**

The primary responsibility of the SVO Territory Sales Representative is to act as the point of contact for existing and potential customers within your assigned territory. To grow our Farmer Focus brand at store level, identify and develop new business within your territory. To see that stores are merchandised properly and to address any challenges in the field. Work closely with Regional Sales Reps and other internal teams to meet individual and corporate team sales plans. Successful candidate will currently reside in the Charlotte / Raleigh-Durham, NC and surrounding MSA's - no relocation package available.

**Essential Functions Statement(s)**

Be the person in the field performing store calls daily to assess current customer merchandising of our brand in stock, out of stocks, shelf tagging, displays, POS and report on competitive recon.

Develop strong relationships with meat managers within your territory.

Be the Farmer Focus Brand Ambassador.

Identify customer needs and recommend product/service solutions.

Develop and maintain strong relationships with Distributors and key Retailers within your territory.

Collaborate with Sr. Management to establish, execute and own sales goals for your region/account base.

Land new accounts.

Identify and develop new channels of distribution.

Support SVO by participating in Customer specific and Regional market channel food shows.

Be the face of SVO, Farmer Focus to your particular account base.

Manage your expenses within the guidelines of SVO.

**Secondary Functions/Duties:**

Work effectively within the SVO Management System.

Work to cultivate the SVO Culture.

Work with Sr. Management on the Onboarding Process of bringing on new accounts.

All other related duties as assigned by Management from time to time.

**Supervision:**

This position receives general direction from the SE Regional Sales Manager.

60-70% travel, on road within defined territory, 2-3 overnights per week.

Travel to corporate headquarters at least once per quarter.

**Education/Experience Requirements:**

Bachelors college degree required, preferable in Business Administration or Marketing.

Minimum 3-5 years retail merchandising, poultry sales, natural products, marketing, or business development experience.

Must have the ability to travel and execute sales/merchandising plans.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Proven leadership skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of products.

**WORK ENVIRONMENT and PHYSICAL DEMANDS:**

Multiple and varying work environments will be encountered and be required to work in, e.g., Small/Large offices, and production environments. Must be able to tolerate the varying heat and chill of the plant that accompanies each season, hearing and eye protective equipment required. Required to wear hair net, beard net if applicable. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear, possess color vision, see near and far or have 20/20 corrected vision. Must be able to sit, stand, walk, climb, use hands to fingers, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms.
